This topology is considered by many to be the best available.  Although these units are the least efficient, they offer many advantages, including a pure sine wave output, excellent line isolation, and tight output voltage regulation.  Since the inverter is running constantly, response time is instantaneous.  Disadvantages include a high parts count, and a slightly higher price per VA ......
